Fatigue and work

For the past 2 weeks, I have been feeling very depressed at work. I haven’t felt that way for a long time and I suppose I was ’shielded’ by all my pregnant hormones for the past year.
With the combination of the 2nd quarter busy period lurking around the corner and an accumulated sleep debt, I [...]

Happiness is..

Happiness is..

Your husband surprising you with your favourite Starbucks biscottis
Daydreaming while watching ping pong balls bounce to-and-fro for 2 hours
Your husband gobbling up the baked rice you made for dinner
Playing the piano to an appreciative audience
Fitting into some of your old clothes again
Going to work on a Monday knowing that your boss is away
Seeing your [...]

Hospital visit

Two weeks ago, sis-in-law got admitted to the hospital over a persistant bout of fever and joint pains. We later discovered that she came down with dengue fever and had to stay at the hospital until her platelets level goes up.
It must have been sheer agony, with the very limited medications she could take since she [...]
